Located just 45 minutes from Chania International Airport and the historic Venetian city of Chania, known as ‘Little Venice,’ Villa Kaylu is perfectly situated to explore the region. The villa spans two floors and has been meticulously designed to maximize the stunning scenery. Its thoughtful layout offers incredible views from both the bedrooms and living areas. The upper floor features 4 bedrooms, each with a large balcony, while the lower floor offers a further bedroom, a cinema room, a spacious open-plan living area, and easy access to the pool and outdoor spaces.
Upper Floor
- Bedroom 1: A luxurious 18 m² master bedroom with a king-size bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), an en-suite shower room, and a freestanding oval designer bath. This room has access to both private and shared balconies through large sliding doors.
- Bedroom 2: A 16 m² bedroom with a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), convertible into two single beds. It also has an en-suite shower room and a private balcony.
- Bedroom 3: A 16 m² bedroom with a king-size bed (1.80 x 1.90 m), which can be converted into two single beds. It has access to a balcony.
- Bedroom 4: A 16 m² bedroom with two double beds (1.40 x 2.00 m) and access to a private balcony. A separate large shower room is also available on this level.
Lower Floor
A staircase leads to the main living area and pool level, featuring a double bedroom, a cinema room, and a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area. There is also a guest toilet/shower room accessible from the pool area.
- Bedroom 5: A 15 m² bedroom with a king-size bed (1.60 x 2.00 m), an en-suite shower room, and direct access to the pool and terrace area.
The living area overlooks the pool, offering a large seating area, satellite TV, and a dining table. The Italian-designed luxury kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, juicer, coffee maker, blender, and Nespresso machine. Adjacent rooms provide additional storage, a microwave, oversized fridge/freezer, sink, washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and iron.
A spacious cinema room, designed for multi-purpose use, can serve as a conference room or an additional sleeping area with two double sofa beds. This room features a 75-inch flat-screen TV, Netflix, PlayStation 4, Amazon Prime, satellite TV, and a wireless printer.
Pool Area
The ground floor opens directly to the pool, jacuzzi, terrace, and outdoor dining areas. The 40 m² infinity pool offers cascading water, non-slip mosaic tiles, and a shallow children’s area. There’s also a poolside shower, and the pool can be heated on request. The expansive outdoor living space includes luxury sunbeds, designer lounge chairs, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a charcoal BBQ, sink, and fridge. A large dining table under a covered pergola provides shade and warmth with an optional heater.

Within a couple of minutes walk of the villa there is a shop, coffee shop, bar and two restaurants in nearby Kokkino Chorio village.
Plaka village is a 5 minute drive where you can find supermarkets and numerous restaurants and bars offering local and international cuisine
There are many options when visiting local beaches in the area.
The ‘Secret Beach’ is a small secluded beach 800 meters from Kokkino Chorio and the village of Almyrida has a lovely sandy beach and is abundant with seafront restaurants and shops. This beach also offers numerous watersports activities for those guests who are more adventurous, including, diving, paddle boarding, wind surfing and sailing.
The villa is perfectly situated between the city of Chania and the large town of Rethymnon and both offer historic charm and are beautiful to visit.
We highly recommend a day trip to the world famous beaches and lagoons of Balos and Elafonisi. An hour and a half away, these spectacular areas are recognized as being amongst the top beaches in the world with truly amazing and unique landscapes.

Some friends and I were looking for a place of our own; not hotel rooms or apartments and certainly nothing too close to the bustling cities such as Chania. We landed on Villa Kaylu and locked it in quickly. It (very) comfortably slept 7 of us, all having ensuites or private bathrooms, and there was enough space to break out as couples if need be. The villa is extremely well equipped. The cinema room with playstation is a great option for kids or those rare, bad weather days. There were about 8 included, and high quality mountain bikes, a brand new ping pong and Fusbal table, and an amazing indoor / outdoor AV system which kept us in the holiday spirit with music all day and night! The reasonably close towns of Plaka and Almyrida were both great options for groceries or a night out. Would love to return and would certainly recommend Villa Kaylu to any interested parties looking for a brand new villa for their family and friends in search of incredible views, great amenities and friendly support staff.

Wow, what a stunning place to stay with so much to do in a lovely part of crete! The views from the villa are absolutely beautiful and really makes you feel like you on holiday in paradise from early morning to late evening with the sunset. The villa also has all the mod cons you could ever wish for and is amazing quality.

I had the privilege of staying in that place for 5 days. I can now clearly state that pictures are nothing close to reality. The view is breathtaking, and the house is stunning. Having an espresso from that bean-to -cup provided coffee machine while watching the sunset from that infinity pool is an unforgettable experience and all that just after a great Greek barbeque and for dessert watching a movie Netflix in that home movie room just gives a different meaning to the word ‘enjoyment’. Great place to be!

We just returned from a fabulous 10 days at Villa Kaylu. Our experience was just incredible. Korina is awesome, and made sure everything was handled perfectly: from our booking, arrival, and our stay. She would always check in with us to ensure things were well, and always offered to help us make any reservations. This is the first time we’ve booked through Euroland, and we would absolutely do again. The villa was extremely clean, and provided all the amenities we needed for a long stay: wifi, washer/dryer, full kitchen, outdoor grille, big screen TVs, gaming, table tennis, foosball, bicycles. They even take care of the little details like power cords to charge your devices. The pool is very clean, and provided hours of relaxation for the kids. Plus, the views… we cannot say enough about the incredible views from the villa. It is very quiet and peaceful. There is a great market walking distance from the villa, and George (the owner) is super friendly and helpful. They have most of what you need for your stay. There are plenty of restaurants nearby (we would also recommend Takis Taverna, which is a very family friendly place). Getting to the various beaches is easy, and also provides many restaurants, shops, and watering holes for the family. In summary, we highly recommend this location and property. There were several days that we just stayed at the villa, and spent great family time. I am not sure I can think of anything that is missing from the property!
